The Northern NJ Center for Advanced Endoscopy offers a variety of GI procedures performed in a certified ambulatory endoscopy center setting. These outpatient procedures include the following:
A colonoscopy is a safe and minimally invasive procedure, in which a trained physician uses a special instrument called a colonoscope to view the gastrointestinal (GI) tract; specifically the colon and rectum.
An upper endoscopy is a diagnostic test used to examine the upper digestive tract – the esophagus, stomach, and first segment of the small intestine, known as the duodenum.
