Dr. Friedrich trained in Gastroenterology, Endoscopy, and Liver Diseases at the Mt. Sinai Hospital and Medical Center (NYC) and the Veteran’s Administration Hospital (The Bronx, NYC). After completing his training in NYC, he worked on Advanced Endoscopic procedures with world experts in Europe. He is Board Certified in both Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine.

Dr. Ivan Friedrich’s Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine practice is in Englewood, NJ where his group is committed to providing excellent and compassionate care in their state-of-the-art Digestive Diseases Center. He has hospital privileges at Englewood, Holy Name and Hackensack Hospitals. His particular interests include colon cancer screening, treatment of abdominal and liver disorders, ulcerative colitis, Crohn’s Disease, and Irritable Bowel Syndrome.

Dr. Friedrich is a member of the American Gastroenterological Association and a published author in the Journal of the American College of Gastroenterology. He is a past president of the N.J. Gastroenterology and Endoscopy Society, 1997-98.

Dr. Friedrich has been named as a Castle and Connolly “Top Doctor” in the N.Y. metropolitan area for the last 15 years and has been honored with citations in New York Magazine and Inside Jersey Magazine Top Docs, 2010-17. He recently was selected as a Top Doctor in 201 Magazine’s May 2012-17 Health Issues.
